How to be well prepared for your ski holiday?
Whether or not it’s your first Winter sports holiday, going away requires lots of preparation. In our article we have provided you with plenty of great tips.

Book in advance
Your travel plans, your accommodation, your ski passes, your ski lessons, your equipment… All bookings you can make before your stay will help you to see more clearly in your organisation. This way, you will enjoy the first day of your holiday without spending hours in the queues. Also remember that booking in advance means limiting the risks of Covid-19, in that you are avoiding crowded places!
Don't forget to enquire about the various activities offered in the resort.
If you know little about the resort you are arriving in, it can be interesting to take advantage of the atypical setting of the village to discover new experiences. Going on a Winter sports holiday also means discovering what the mountains have to offer. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, you can also discover the mountains by ski touring, snowshoeing, walking with a guide, cycling, paragliding or even winter rafting!
Tips for future champions
Remember to explain to your children why you are going to leave them alone in their ski lessons. Reassure them by explaining that they will not be alone because their instructor will be there and that they will be plenty of other children the same age and who speak the same language. This is especially for the little ones who are coming for their first experience on skis.
Be prepared !
A good physical condition will help you to be comfortable on the slopes but also allow you to digest a fondue or raclette! Swopping the car or public transport for cycling or walking is great for some fitness training. Good ground work and some muscle strengthening will help your stamina (walking, running, wall squats …). In addition, remember to warm up before the effort EVERY morning: this is essential to avoid risks that can be linked to accidents. Finally, be aware of the tiredness accumulated over the last few days of your stay, attention decreases and the risk of accidents are higher.
